The Athens Agora

This is not the Agora, but an old Byzantine Church on the way:

Here's an old temple in the Agora. This one was around for a long time and it pretty much survived unscathed.

It was to Hephaestus and Athena.

Here's a statue that's either Poseidon or Zeus. They don't know. He's either carrying a trident or a thunderbolt. It's bronze, one of the very, very few bronze statues to have survived.
This is Athena. It's a representation of the 40-foot-tall statue that existed in the Parthenon.

I might be wrong, but I think this is Theseus holding the head of Medusa. It's obviously not there.

This is a fanciful recreation of the Stoa, which was a market, stalls, and things like that in the Agora. Our guide was rather dismissive of it.

 This is Venus and Pan.
